What you pay for: connected sources

The desktop app's brain runs for free: a vault of plain Markdown files on your own disk, indexed locally, readable by Obsidian or any text editor, and queryable from Claude, Cursor or Cline over MCP. What the paid plans add is the syncing layer — the 20 connectors that pull Slack, Notion, Gmail, Jira, Salesforce and the rest into that one graph, and keep them current without anyone copying anything.

That is the whole pricing model. Solo caps you at three connected sources, Pro removes the cap and adds Janitor AI, and Teams adds what a company needs around a shared brain: role-based access, an audit log, SSO and the unattended Janitor autopilot. If you are weighing this against a cloud workspace or an enterprise search tool, the comparisons go criterion by criterion, and the Enterprise Brain page explains what the graph does once every agent is on it.

Pricing questions

How much does Fleece AI Brain cost?

Solo is €12 per month, Pro is €24 per month, and Teams is €49 per user per month. Yearly billing on Solo and Pro costs €120 and €240, which works out to two months free. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial and you can cancel anytime.

Is there a free version?

The desktop app's local brain is free forever: you can build your vault, use wikilinks and query it from any MCP-compatible AI app without paying. Paid plans unlock connected sources — the syncing connectors that pull Slack, Notion, Gmail and 17 other tools into the graph — plus cloud sync and team features.

What is the difference between Solo and Pro?

The connector cap and Janitor AI. Solo connects up to 3 sources and is meant for one person; Pro removes the limit, so the whole stack — Slack, Notion, Gmail, Jira, Salesforce and the rest — feeds one graph. Pro also unlocks Janitor AI, which scans the vault and proposes merges and archives for you to approve, plus multi-agent vault sharing and priority support.

When should we choose Teams?

Teams is for companies that need governance rather than more capacity: cross-user sharing with role-based access control, an audit log, SSO through Google or Microsoft, and Janitor autopilot, which runs the cleanup unattended instead of proposing it.

Do I need a card to start the trial?

Yes. Checkout collects a payment method before the 14-day trial begins, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. You can cancel at any point during those 14 days from the billing portal and you will not be billed.

What happens to my data if I stop paying?

Your vault stays on your machine. The knowledge is plain Markdown files with YAML frontmatter and wikilinks, plus a local SQLite index, all readable by Obsidian or any text editor. Cancelling stops the connectors and cloud sync; it never takes your files away.

Can I switch plans or billing period later?

Yes, from the billing portal. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated, downgrades apply at the end of the current period, and you can move between monthly and yearly billing on Solo and Pro at any time.

Is the price per user or per company?

Solo and Pro are flat per-account prices. Teams is charged per user per month, billed on the real seat count, so a five-person team on Teams pays €245 per month.
